V-LABEL

The V-Label is the only globally widespread symbol developed by the European Vegetarian Union and recognized by the member countries of the International Vegetarian Union. Led by V-Label GmbH, the headquarter of which is in Switzerland, distribution and control are carried out by the associations of the member states of the union. It is the most common and a quite safe symbol used in most products. V-Label is given through the representation of the country where the production is carried out and its usage is granted by contract. First of all, the V-Label declaration form related to the product/products on which you want to use the symbol is filled. Afterwards, it is determined which vegetarian type the product is suitable for. A number of examinations are carried out through contracted accredited food laboratories (It is Yeditepe University Food Analysis Laboratory in Turkey). At the end of these examinations, compliance is confirmed and a 7-digit license number with the country code at the beginning is given after the license payment. After this point, the V-Label logo, which has an international trademark registration, can be used together with the certificate number on the product. The V-Label is a controlled symbol and is valid all over the world. Therefore, licensing is carried out annually and independent inspections can be performed from product samples taken from the shelf in each certification period. Any changes that may occur in the content must be notified to the V-Label Country Coordinatorship by the manufacturer.
